Who will the U.S. play No. 2 in Davis Cup?

Andy Roddick and James Blake have spoken, and they will not be partaking in Davis Cup in 2010. The loss of the Roddick and Blake, the two main stalwarts for the US team the last decade, leave captain Patrick McEnroe in a quandary.

At the moment, Sam Querrey is the top player but who’ll be No. 2 when the US clashes with Serbia in March. Remember, the match will be played on slow red clay and the chosen will have to deal with Novak Djokovic and Victor Troicki.

The options for P-Mac include Mardy Fish, John Isner, Wayne Odesnik, Taylor Dent and Michael Russell. Who’s your pick?

We all know Andy Roddick is the king of American tennis, but with James Blake on the decline who will step up and challenge Roddick for the throne? Perhaps it will be Blake in the end, or maybe someone else like the improving Sam Querrey, the dangerous John Isner or the mercurial Mardy Fish.
